About Us
Jim Armstrong started out specializing in the brokerage of small income properties, primarily apartments. The property management business began as a result of these transactions and within a few years, Jim formed JAPM, Inc in 1979. Armstrong Property Management became a d.b.a. of JAPM INC., in 1987, with Jim Armstrong as the President and CEO, as he is today. Jim Armstrong also became a Certified Property Manager® through the Institute of Real Estate Management in 1992 and a Certified Community Association Manager® in 2004 through the California Association of Community Managers.
Amy Bors, a Tulsa native, began property management in 1997 with a national management firm where she specialized in start ups of distressed properties. Her ability to turn around under performing properties enabled her to move into the Regional Supervisor position for the Midwest Region. Amy and Jim partnered in 2005 as a result of Owners’ inability to find a locally-based organization that could provide the attention and detailed management style they were looking for. Today Amy follows those same strategies to successfully reach the goals of property owners. She is also licensed with the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission.
